It was a nail biter with 50 laps the distance and the best of the best in the country on the grounds. When all the time trials were finished and qualifier mains run 13 Sput's powered drivers sat in the $20,000 A-main event. Dan Bohr started pole for the 3 wide event and led the first 19 laps when Brad Waits pressured for the lead which he would get and never look back. Tim Donlinger would be the the man on the move starting 21st to finish in the 5th spot.
