Stormy Scott gets the big check, but Sput's customers made him earn it. Sput's customers filled up 9 of the 30 spots in the A-main (Vanderbeek, Tesch, Krohn, Steensma, Schotts, Anderson, Ruter, Mather and Donlinger) all had that $15,000 payday on their minds. With 75 laps the distance, patience was key, and as the race was nearing the end a caution appeared at lap 70. At the restart Vanderbeek, who started in the 7th position, snuck by the Scott car, but was unable to hang on and finished 2nd as Scott pulled away for the win. Tesch had yet another big evening as he came from the 21st spot to finish 3rd and the Shop Quik team driver Jon Anderson charged from the 18th spot to collect the 5th place check.
